OBJECTIVE: Deliver a balanced program that will see Volleyball becoming a positive part of the athletes lives.
For an athlete, involvement in the BBAS program will result ultimately in a greater and more specific training load than that of before. Through strict coaching and monitoring, that athlete will be given the greatest opportunity to improve his/her skills to the best of his/her abilities.
Given this increase training load, it is often of great parental concern as to whether their child will have the ability to continue to succeed in all aspects of life, particularly school. Primarily through BBAS assistance, including a key focus on time management; athletes will be given to knowledge and tools to balance their heavy sporting commitments with other aspects of life.
As demonstrated in other sports, particularly individual sports with very high training demands (such as twice/day), well-planned and organised athletes can have success at school and socially despite their sporting commitments.
The BBAS coaching staff will also work closely with the athlete, parents and where appropriate their school coordinators, ensuring that athlete’s school behaviour has been appropriate and modified training loads applied where necessary at peak educational times.
